Force Palm

Force Palm is a Green Spirit tree ability that drives spirit energy through a palm strike, applying the Defense Reduction debuff to the target. Enemies afflicted with Defense Reduction take increased damage from all subsequent attacks, making Force Palm an essential support ability for extended single-target fights. At level 5, Force Palm unlocks aerial, healing, and consecutive-strikes variants that dramatically expand its applications.

The Defense Reduction debuff stacks with all other damage modifiers, making Force Palm particularly synergistic with elemental infusions. Applying Defense Reduction first, then activating Fist of Flame for Burn damage, creates a multiplicative damage window that is significantly more effective than either debuff alone. The Aerial Force Palm variant allows the debuff to be applied during airborne combos, useful against flying enemies and in elevated terrain encounters.

Force Palm Pulse, unlocked as a separate follow-up ability, creates an area-of-effect burst of the Defense Reduction effect, potentially debuffing multiple grouped enemies simultaneously. Combined with Oongka's wide-arc axe attacks that hit all debuffed targets, this creates one of the game's strongest group-clear damage windows.

At maximum level, Force Palm's Defense Reduction duration extends long enough to fit an entire burst combo within the debuff window, making it the ideal opener for any high-damage sequence. The Healing Force Palm variant restores a percentage of damage dealt as health, giving the ability sustain utility in prolonged fights. Advanced players weave Force Palm into every major combo rotation, using it as the first hit to amplify everything that follows, particularly before Falling Palm or Stab-Skewer chains where the amplified damage compounds over multiple hits.

Force Palm delivers a concentrated palm strike that releases a shockwave on impact, dealing damage and pushing enemies back. It is one of the most versatile Unarmed abilities, functioning as both a damage dealer and a spacing tool. The Focused variant, unlocked during Chapter 4, adds puzzle-solving utility by interacting with specific environmental objects. Force Palm is recommended as an early priority skill due to its combat effectiveness and exploration functionality across multiple game chapters.
